Welcome to NAPCLI.org, the official website of the Naval Academy Parents Club of Long Island, serving the greater New York Metropolitan area and southern Westchester county. We are an organization made up of Parents of Midshipmen and Alumni of the United States Naval Academy, including those students in the Naps and Foundation Programs of the Academy.   We offer exciting and fun filled fellowship events along with support  for our members at every stage of their Academy Experience.  Whether you are the proud parent of an incoming Plebe, or an Alumni Parent with concerns or advice to share, It is our club's pleasure to be there to offer advice, support, and fellowship, every step of the way.

NAVAL ACADEMY PARENTS’ CLUB OF LONG ISLAND

Dear Members,

There is a certain kind of young man or woman who pursues an education at the United States Naval Academy.  They are willing to commit themselves to the demands, stresses and obligations of the Naval Academy.  These young men and women choose to take the “road less traveled” and pursue service as a leader in the United States Navy.

Parents Clubs exist because, try as we may, the hardships associated with Academy life cannot be adequately articulated. The pressures on Mids and their parents are enormous from the very beginning. The Naval Academy Parents Club of Long Island exists to help parents support their Mid. The Academy experience is not designed to be “fun,” at least not all the time.  We are a support group for parents who want to help their midshipman be successful in an environment with which the parents are totally unfamiliar.

NAPCLI exists to have fun with midshipmen. Shared experiences are usually more fun than solitary experiences. Welcome aboard picnics, luncheons, trips to USNA for Parents' Weekend, football games and tailgate parties, military balls ... these are examples of activities that can be fun to do with your midshipman and other Mids and their parents.

Parents are encouraged to participate in NAPCLI.  Please attend events, please volunteer in any capacity.  All of our midshipmen are best supported with a little help from all of us.

GO NAVY!!!   BEAT ARMY!!!
